Zachary Hoh was a Master of Design thesis student interested in multi-disciplinary collaboration. With Stephen Slaughter as the professor affiliated with architecture, the group of twelve students used material exploration and layering as the concept to explore between the two fields.​

The dress shown is my take on the concept and was part of the collection shown at the DAAP Fashion Show 2016. The base layer is a clean black base on top of which a red velvet texture is wrapped; highlighting the subtleties balanced between both materials.
